- On the payment settings page, find and click on a button such as «New payment method».
- Among the available options, select Stripe.
3. What is Stripe?
- Stripe is an internationally recognized and extremely secure online payment platform. Millions of companies, from the smallest to the largest, use it to accept payments over the Internet.
- Role: Stripe acts as an intermediary to process your customers' credit card payments (and other methods) reliably and securely, then transfer the funds to your bank account.
- Safety : Stripe uses advanced encryption technologies and complies with the strictest security standards (PCI DSS level 1) to protect financial data.
4. Understanding Stripe Connect
- Furzo uses Stripe Connect. It's a version of Stripe that enables marketplaces like Furzo to facilitate transactions between customers and you (the seller).
- How it works : When a customer buys one of your products on Furzo, the payment goes through Stripe. Thanks to Stripe Connect, the money (minus any Furzo commission, if applicable depending on your subscription) is routed directly to your own Stripe account, and then to your linked bank account. This simplifies cash flow management for everyone.
5. Connect to your Stripe account
- Once you have selected Stripe on Furzo, you should see a «Connect with Stripe». Click on it.
- You will be redirected to Stripe's secure site to create a new Stripe account or connect an existing one.
- Fill in the information requested by Stripe : Stripe needs information to verify your identity and activity, and to be able to send you money. Be prepared to provide (the exact list may vary slightly):
- Country where you operate (France).
- Type of company : Often «Particulier», «Auto-entrepreneur» / «Micro-entrepreneur», or «Société» depending on your legal status.
- Personal information : Your full legal name, date of birth, home address.
- Professional information : Business name (can be your name), business address, telephone number, SIRET number (if you have one).
- Sector of activity : Choose the one that best suits your needs (e.g. Retail > Art, Photography and other media).
- Banking information : Your IBAN (international bank account number) to receive transfers.
- Important information: Fill in all the information with accuracy and honesty on the Stripe website. This is a legal requirement for financial services.
6. Finalize Connection
- Once you have submitted all the information and completed the process on the Stripe website, you should be automatically redirected to your Furzo dashboard.
- On the Furzo payment settings page, Stripe should now appear as connected.
7. Tips for managing your Stripe account
- Stripe dashboard : Bookmark this link to track your transactions, manage your information and view your transfers: https://dashboard.stripe.com/
