1. User Account Security
- Telephone validation (OTP) :
- How does it work? For certain key actions, Furzo uses an SMS verification system. A unique code (OTP - One-Time Password) is sent to your cell phone, and you must enter it on the site to continue.
- Why? This verifies that you are the owner of the phone number associated with the account, drastically reducing the creation of fake accounts, spammy accounts (bots) and identity theft.
- Phone Number Blacklisting :
- How does it work? If a user is permanently banned from Furzo for serious rule violations (fraud, harassment, etc.), the phone number associated with that account is added to a blacklist.
- Why? This prevents a banned malicious user from simply recreating a new account using the same phone number, thus reinforcing the effectiveness of bans.
- Password security :
- It is crucial that you choose a password strong and unique for your Furzo account. Do not reuse passwords from other sites. Furzo imposes minimum complexity requirements for passwords.
- Secure connection (HTTPS) :
- All connections to Furzo are protected by HTTPS (the little padlock in your browser's address bar). This means that information exchanged between your browser and the site (passwords, personal information) is encrypted and secured against interception.
2. Security specific to Sellers (Artists)
- Artist validation :
- How does it work? To ensure the quality and legitimacy of the boutiques, a validation process is in place. Each artist can ask to be verified by providing an official document (ID card or driver's license). Verification gives you a verified badge that will be visible on your store, your product sheet and your store.
- Why? This step is designed to protect buyers and maintain a high level of trust in the sellers present on the platform. A verified account will have more legitimacy than an unverified account.
- Product image protection (watermarking) :
- How does it work? Furzo automatically applies a «Furzo» watermark to product images uploaded online.
- Why? This helps deter theft and unauthorized reuse of your presentation images on other platforms.
- Secure Payment Management :
- Financial transactions carried out directly on Furzo pass through recognized and secure payment providers (like Stripe). Furzo does not store your full credit card details. This information is managed directly by the payment processor, which complies with strict security standards (PCI-DSS).
3. Buyer-specific security
- Confidence in Sellers: The seller validation process and general monitoring of the platform are designed to ensure that you interact with serious artists. We advise you to choose products from verified sellers.
- Secure payments : Your payments are processed via secure gateways. You benefit from the protection offered by these payment platforms.
- Secure communication : Use the internal mail of Furzo to discuss your orders or pre-sales questions with the sales team. This keeps a record of exchanges within the platform.
- Clear policies (CGV/RMA) : Clear Terms & Conditions and return/refund policies help to secure your purchases by defining the rules in the event of a problem.
4. General Platform Security Measures
- Blocking IP addresses (IP Ban) :
- How does it work? Furzo can block access to the platform from IP addresses identified as malicious (sources of spam, hacking attempts, banned users trying to return).
- Why? This is a technical measure to prevent access by known bad actors.
- Moderation and Monitoring :
- The Furzo team actively monitors the platform for suspicious behavior, inappropriate content and to enforce marketplace rules.
- Personal Data Protection (RGPD):

5. What to do in the event of a safety problem?
- Signal: If you encounter a suspicious user, a store that seems fraudulent, inappropriate content, or if you have a concern about the security of your account, contact the Furzo administration team immediately. Use official support channels (support email address, contact form, etc.).
- Protect your account : Never share your password. Beware of phishing e-mails claiming to be from Furzo (always check the sender's address and don't click on suspicious links).
