Hello and welcome to Furzo!
As a marketplace, we provide a legal and functional framework to protect both buyers and sellers. However, we know that each artist has his or her own specificities. This guide explains how you can customize your terms of sale and return policy to best suit your business, while respecting the legal framework.
- General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) for your store
The GTC define the contractual terms of your sales. On Furzo, the terms and conditions you add are a complement to those of the marketplace, not a replacement for them.
What's it for?
Here you can add information specific to your way of working. For example:
Details of your creation times for custom products (commissions).
Information on the materials you use.
Your special conditions for grouped orders.
Any other information you feel is essential for the buyer to understand your offer.
Key points to remember :
ADDITION, NOT REPLACEMENT: What you write is in addition to Furzo's General Terms and Conditions, which remain the reference document, particularly for legal aspects.
CLARTÉ : Be clear and precise to avoid any confusion with the buyer.
How do I add my own customized terms and conditions?
- Go to your seller dashboard.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on the Store tab.
- Enter your additional conditions in the field provided.
- Save changes.

- Return and Refund Policy (RMA)
The Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) policy is more flexible. You can replace Furzo's default policy with your own, within a very strict framework to guarantee legal protection for all.
The Golden Rule: DON'T DELETE, MODIFY!
This is the most important piece of advice. The system is designed to ensure that the buyer's fundamental legal rights can never be removed.
If you modify a value (delay, condition) : Your modification applies.
If you completely delete a section of text: the system will automatically replace it with Furzo's default section.
This protection ensures that your policy always complies with the law, even in the event of an error.
Case in point: the refund period for non-delivery.
Furzo default policy : The buyer may request a full refund if the order is not dispatched within 1 year. This period is deliberately long to cover all cases (very long creations, etc.).
Your personalized policy : You may find this too long and not reassuring for your customers. You can change this value and specify a shorter lead time, e.g. 60 days. This shows your professionalism and better manages the buyer's expectations.
What you CAN and MUST customize :
Commercial warranty period: By default, this is 30 days. You can extend it if you wish.
Delay before refund for non-delivery : Change the value from «1 year» to a period that suits your business.
Return conditions : Specify whether you want the product in its original packaging, for example.
Return shipping : Indicate whether you or the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs in cases not covered by the law (for example, a simple change of mind outside the withdrawal period).
What you CANNOT modify or delete :
The inalienable legal rights of consumers (especially in the EU/France) always prevail. Any clause to the contrary written by you will be considered null and void.
This includes :
Right of withdrawal : The buyer always has 14 days after receipt to change his mind and return the product (except for legal exceptions such as personalized products).
Legal Warranty of Conformity : The buyer still has 2 years to report a defect that existed at the time of delivery.
Legal warranty against hidden defects : This legal guarantee applies regardless of what happens.
How do you change your RMA policy?
You have two options:
- For your entire store (global) :
Go to Dashboard > Settings > RMA.
You'll see the default policy. Modify values and phrases without deleting the main sections.

- For a specific product :
When creating or modifying a product.
Go to the RMA tab on the product editor page.
Check the option to override the global settings and apply your specific rules for this item only. This is ideal for products with special conditions (e.g. promotional products, customized orders, etc.).
In a nutshell: Why personalize your policies?
Gaining the trust of buyers: Clear policies tailored to your business are a guarantee of seriousness and professionalism.
Managing expectations : By specifying your own lead times (creation, dispatch), you avoid misunderstandings.
Protect your business: You define a clear framework for managing returns and disputes, always under the protection of Furzo's legal framework.
We strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to review the default policies and adjust them to perfectly reflect your store.
